How it heats

The Mini 2 uses conduction heating — the stainless steel oven walls make direct contact with the botanical material and transfer heat through that contact. This produces smooth, flavour forward vapour and is well suited to session style use, where you pack the oven, settle into a 5–10 minute session, and draw steadily throughout. Because conduction heating works through direct contact, packing technique matters — the material should be packed firmly against the oven walls so the heat distributes evenly. A loose pack leads to uneven extraction. The included multi tool is shaped precisely to the oven to help with this.

The 3D oven screen — redesigned from the original Mini — distributes heat more evenly across the bowl, reducing hot spots and keeping extraction consistent from the first draw to the last. The vapour path runs through the centre of the device, isolated from the battery and electronics, keeping the draw clean and cool.

The four heat modes

Rather than a temperature readout, the Mini 2 uses four colour coded experience modes. Each maps to a temperature band and a different character of vapour:

• Mode 1 (around 180°C) — light, flavour forward draws. Delicate aromas, gentle vapour. Best for smaller sessions and those who prefer a subtle experience.
• Mode 2 (around 190°C) — the sweet spot for most users. Visible vapour, clean flavour, good density. This is where the majority of people settle.

Smart session management

The lip sensing technology detects when the mouthpiece reaches your lips and boosts the oven temperature automatically for your draw — so the device is performing at its best at the exact moment you inhale. Set it down and the motion sensor triggers standby mode within 30 seconds, cooling the oven to preserve material and battery. Pick it back up and it returns to temperature automatically. You never need to press a button mid session — the device manages itself.

Two ways to pack

Two oven lids are included — a standard full lid for a 0.5g pack, suitable for longer sessions or sharing, and a half pack lid for a lighter 0.25g solo session. The half pack lid reduces the oven capacity and concentrates the heat more tightly around the material, which many users find produces more efficient extraction for smaller amounts.
