IVG Pro Salts: the Pro pod range, in a refillable bottle

IVG Pro Salts is a 22 flavour nicotine salt range in 10ml bottles, available in 10mg and 20mg at a 50/50 VG/PG ratio. It takes the flavour profiles from IVG’s Pro prefilled pod system and rebuilds them for refillable mouth-to-lung kits — so if you already know what a Pro pod tastes like, you can keep that flavour and move to a format that costs a fraction as much to run.

Eleven of the flavours are reworked versions of the original Pro line up. IVG adjusted the sweetener and cooling levels rather than lifting the recipes straight across, which is why Pro Salts tastes cleaner in a refillable pod than the pods themselves do. The other eleven are new to the range.

Cooling level is the thing people get wrong most often when they order blind. Only some of the range is iced, and the ones that are aren’t all iced to the same degree. Here’s the full list:

New to the range and not sure where to start? Mr Blue, Red Freeze and Blue Raspberry Ice are the profiles most people recognise from the Pro pods. Classic Menthol and Spearmint are the two that sell fastest over our trade counter to ex-smokers.

Should you buy 10mg or 20mg?

20mg is the right starting point if you’ve come off cigarettes recently, or if you’ve been using 20mg prefilled pods and want the same hit. It’s the UK legal maximum.

10mg suits you better if you vape steadily through the day rather than in short bursts, or if 20mg has ever felt harsh in the throat. A lot of people who start on 20mg drop to 10mg within a couple of months without noticing a difference in satisfaction — they’re simply vaping more often, so the total intake evens out.

Every one of the 22 flavours is stocked in both strengths, so you can switch without changing flavour.

Which devices work with Pro Salts?

The 50/50 ratio is thin enough to wick quickly through the tighter airflow of a mouth to lung pod, which is what this range is designed around. It works well in kits such as the Vaporesso Xros series, Uwell Caliburn, OXVA Xlim and in most refillable pod systems running between 10W and 20W on a coil between 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω.

Don’t put 20mg nic salt through a sub ohm tank. At that power the nicotine delivery is far higher than intended and it will be unpleasant. If your coil is below 0.8Ω, use 10mg or step down to a lower strength freebase liquid instead.

Pro Salts, Original Salts, or Pro refill pods?

If you’re running an IVG Pro device already, Pro Salts is the cheaper way to keep the same flavours going — you just need a refillable kit alongside it.

Vaping Products Duty: what it means for this bottle

From 1 October 2026, HMRC’s new Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 of excise duty to every 10ml of e-liquid sold in the UK, with VAT applied on top — roughly £2.64 per 10ml bottle at the till. The rate is flat: it applies whatever the nicotine strength, and it applies to 0mg liquid too.

Because the duty is charged on volume, it lands very differently across formats. A 10ml bottle carries £2.20. A 2ml prefilled pod carries 44p — but you get a fifth of the liquid for it, so pod users end up paying substantially more per millilitre than they did before. Refilling a pod kit from a 10ml bottle stays the cheapest way to vape after October, which is exactly what this range is built for.

Getting the most out of it

• Prime a new coil properly. Fill the pod, then leave it five
  minutes before you take the first draw. Nic salt is thin, but a dry first pull on
  a fresh coil will taste burnt for the life of that coil.
• Don’t chase clouds. These are MTL liquids. Turning the
  wattage up won’t improve the flavour, it’ll just cook the sweeteners.
• Store it upright, out of sunlight. Heat and light darken nic
  salt and dull the flavour over a few weeks.
• Rotate flavours. Vaper’s tongue hits hardest on sweet, iced
  profiles. Keeping a mint and a fruit on the go stops either going flat.
